Higher order harmonic resonance of electrons with electromagnetic waves propagating through magnetoplasma
Abstract
The effect of higher order cyclotron harmonic resonance of electrons with the propagating electromagnetic wave through the magnetoplasma is considered. It is shown that the synchronous energy gain for m=1 and n=1 becomes oscillatory at higher harmonics (m not=1,n=D). The expressions for the time period of energy oscillations and maximum energy gain during an oscillation are derived. The nature of pseudo-potential, maximum energy gain and the time period of energy oscillation are shown graphically.
