Solar panel systems are extensively increasing due to significant, procure, depletable, and widely accessible resource as a succeeding energy supply. In this paper, a DC drive is associated to a solar panel system. A DC drive is energized by the arrangement of boost converter overwhelming solar power via maximum power point tracking (MPPT) regulator device. MPPT technique improves the efficiency of the solar cell. The DC drive is served by the maximal power assimilated from the MPPT of solar system. Its main objective is to track the maximal power, so that the maximum possible power can be extracted from the solar cell. So, here the operation of DC drive-by solar panel in terms of its speed, armature current, field current, and electrical torque with respect to time using MPPT technique have been shown. Both the boost converter and solar cell are demonstrated via MATLAB/Simulink. © 2019, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
