Effect of Nymcel-ZSB 16 on the bioavailability of directly compressed frusemide tablets

Abstract

The effect of modified carboxymethyl cellulose (Nymcel(R)) as tablet disintegrant on the bioavailability in man of frusemide tablets was studied in comparison to tablets made with starch as disintegrant and a marketed product (FNX). The result of this study showed that Nymcel is highly effective as disintegrant and increased the dissolution and bioavailability of frusemide tablets.
