| dc.description.abstract | This work proposes a compact, wide-band bow-tie shape dipole antenna using spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPPs) for WLAN applications. The proposed antenna comprises an SSPPs-based transmission line (TL) and a bow-tie-shaped radiator. The SSPPs TL acts as a balun to feed the radiator. The bow-tie-like radiator has been used to protract the operating bandwidth of the antenna over the printed dipole radiator. The designed antenna covers the operating bandwidth from 5 to 6.45 GHz (including the WLAN band) with an average realized gain of around 2 dBi and radiation efficiency above 90%. © 2023 IEEE. | |
