| dc.description.abstract | CA, CA2 and tneir mixes with and without alumina aggregate were allowed to hydrate below 25°C and in not less than 90% relative humidity. The various phases formed were determined by X-ray analysis. The data obtained showed that the hydration products of CA were C3AH6 and AH3 whereas CA,, CA-CA2 mixes gave higher percentage of CAH10 and AH3• Hydrated CA mixes with AI, Oa after firing gave CA2 and CA6, whereas CA-CA, mixes gave CA •. The strength value of CA-CA, mixes increased with increase in CA content whereas PCE value increased with increase in CA, content. © 1984 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. | |
