Treatment of Chromium Bearing Waste Water by Adsorbtion on Brick Kiln Ash and Fly Ash
Abstract
Suitablity of brick kiln ash and fly ash for removing chromium (VI) from waste water has been investigated. Both adsorbents exhibited fairly good sorption potential for chromiun (VI) with a maximum at pH 1.3. Effects of concentration of Cr (VI) (10.0 -50 mg/L), particle size (124-853 μm), rpm (100- 200 s-1) and temperature (25-50°°c) have been studied.
