Development of an approximate model for the prediction ofbubble departure diameter in pool boiling of water

Abstract

Several researchers have attempted to develop model to predict bubble departure diameter in pool boiling for last eighty years. But all these models predictions have a large difference with real life experimental values. In the present investigation, an attempt has been made to develop a physics based simple approximate model which in turn predicts the bubble departure diameter for nucleate boiling zone within the range of ±25%. © 2021
