dc.description.abstractFormation of 2223 phase showing Tc(R=0) of 120 K in a nominal composition Bi1.6Pb0.4Sr2Ca2Cu3Oy synthesized using a semi-wet route involving Pb0.2SrCa(CO3)2.2 precursor is reported. A comparison of this semi-wet route with the conventional dry route in the nucleation and growth of the 2223 phase is presented. © 1990.
