| dc.description.abstract | Human serum albumin (HSA) is most abundant protein produced by liver hepatocytes. HSA (3.5-5 g/dL) accounts for half of the total protein in plasma in healthy individuals. HSA exhibits various functions such as antioxidant and immunomodulatory activities, and liver and kidney activity. Kidneys failure becoming one of the major problem of the 21stcentury which leads to global burden. In this study, we report electrochemical immunosensing device for the HSA detection using zeolite imidazole framework (ZIF-67) based nanohybrid including carboxylated MWCNT. The anti-HSA antibody were immobilized using ethyl(dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide - N-hydroxysuccinimide (EDC-NHS) conjugation reaction. The designed sensing surface has been characterized using different electrochemical techniques. Differential Pulse Voltammetry (DPV) was used for assessing the analytical performance of the sensor where dynamic range and detection limit were found to be 1-60 mg/mL and 4.65 μg/mL, respectively. This will help in determining the levels of HSA in kidney patients and provide a way towards timely treatment. © 2023 IEEE. | |
