Application of parametric programming in CNC machine tools

Abstract

In today's competitive economy, manufacturing companies must take advantage of advanced technologies. Parametric programming feature enhances the efficiency of CNC machines and is beneficial for cellular manufacturing industries. This study discusses and demonstrates the application of parametric programming in CNC machine tools. A universal programme is developed for flange using parametric programming. Different dimensional values of eleven sizes of the flange are adapted from the manufacturing catalogue of several manufacturers. After the development of a programme, a simulation is also performed. © 2023 Author(s).
