Identification of integrating processes with deadtime and inverse response

Abstract

A simple method for identifying parameters for integrating processes with deadtime and inverse response has been presented. Explicit expressions for the identification parameters have been derived. These expressions involve numerical integration. The present method is compared to another method (Luyben's method). The present method gives more-reliable results and is free from the problems that are related to convergence. © 2007 American Chemical Society.
