Abstract
A comprehensive level scheme of Te114, including 35 newly observed γ transitions, has been established by using in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy techniques. The excited states were populated by using the Sn112(He4,2nγ)Te114 fusion-evaporation reaction at a beam energy of 37 MeV. The deexciting γ rays were detected with the help of the Indian National Gamma Array. Furthermore, the presence of octupole correlation is verified in this nucleus through the presence of several enhanced E1 transitions. To understand the microscopic structure of the excited levels, the kshell code within the framework of the shell model and the covariant density functional theory were used. © 2024 American Physical Society.
