In the present work, a transmissive type cross-polarization converter (CPC) using metasurface design with two concentric split ring resonators (SRR) has been designed and studied for the modern communication based applications. The polarization state of the incident linearly polarized electromagnetic (EM) wave undergoes orthogonal rotation over two distinct frequency regions in C and X-bands viz., 4.55-6.39 GHz and 10.82-12 GHz covering C band IoT spectrum maintaining a periodicity of 0.2λ. Further, the structure behaves as a stop-band filter in between 8.25 GHz and 9.48 GHz, which makes the device multifunctional. The proposed CPC design maintains a polarization conversion ratio (PCR) of 0.99 in the entire conversion band, while offering a low transmission coefficient of 0.12 in the stop- band. © 2021 IEEE.
