| dc.description.abstract | A theoretical analysis of varactor tuned FET loaded microstrip antenna is proposed. The analysis is based on the modal expansion cavity model and circuit theory approach. The active patch antenna shows a marked improvement in tuning range, bandwidth and beamwidth. The proposed method predicts a tunable frequency band of 2.487 GHz resulting into a bandwidth of 35.53%, which is higher than the earlier reported data. | |
