Terahertz Elliptical Leaf Pattern Antenna for Beyond 5G Applications

dc.description.abstractAn elliptical leaf pattern six leaves THz antenna is presented in this paper with wide band applications for beyond 5G communication systems. The next generation, beyond 5G is expected to support the huge amount of data traffic to balance the rise of connection wireless device and systems as compared to 5G. Antenna design is proposed with two elliptical leaves and increased up to six leaves to enhance the performance. Bandwidth and gain of antenna are measured for two leaves, four leaves and six leaves are 300 GHz, 350 GHz, and 500 GHz with 24.9 dBi, 25 dBi and 25.2 dBi gain respectively. A simple copper material as a radiating element and polyamide as substrate have been taken. Partial ground has been taken with microstrip line feedline. Whole structure is designed and simulated using CST microwave studio. © 2023 IEEE.
