Simulation Study of C-band Arletron with Extraction of Microwave Power in TE10-Mode

dc.description.abstractIn this paper, we have performed a simulation study of the light-weighted, compact, and highly efficient arletron in C-band with the novel extraction cavity i.e. rectangular cavity. The electromagnetic behavior of the modulating cavity in the absence of an electron beam and the RF behavior of the modeled device in the presence of an electron beam have been investigated. The model is designed and simulated with the help of CST Microwave studio. The simulation results suggest that the device is able to generate a microwave peak power of the ~500 MW in TE10-mode. © 2020 Indian Radio Science Society.
