dc.description.abstractComplexes of N-Dimethylaminaaethyl-isatin thio-semicarbazone (Ci2H15N5S with Co(II), Ni (II), Cu(II), H8(II) and Fe(III) have been prepared. The complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weight determination, conductance, magnetic moment measurement, electronic and i.r spectra. Complexes are of general formula Id [l/)2where K = Co(Il), Ni(Ii), Cu(Il), Zn(II) and Hg(Il) and M [l]2C1 where M * Fe(IIl). Cobalt, copper, zinc and iron complexes are octahedral whereas nickel and mercury complexes are tetrahedrally coordinated. The i.r. spectra of the complexes indicate metal ligand bonding through sulphur, hydrzinic nitrogen and ketonic oxygen atoms of the ligand. © 1985, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. All rights reserved.
