Time asymmetry in classical electrodynamics

Abstract

Source-free Maxwell equations are recast in a form that incorporates manifest time reversal invariance. It is argued that potentials are fundamental quantities. The basis of a formulation in which the source and fields are unified is also outlined. © 1987.
