Distortion measurement in circuits using LMS fitting routines

dc.description.abstractThis paper presents a least mean square (LMS) fitting technique for extraction of harmonic distortion. This estimates are derived from samples of waveform. Therefore this method is better suited for discrete-time signal processing than standard distortion meter, which also takes into account the transients between sampling times. The relationship is given between the converter accuracy, and the accuracy of the THD estimates. The comparison of the LMS algorithm and the standard measurement technique is also presented.
