| dc.description.abstract | People dwelling under the shadow of Naina Peak (2610 m) at the northwestern extremity of the Naini Lake basin in the Kumaun Himalaya live under constant threat from rockfalls and landslides. The major landslide that occurred in September 1987 provided a unique opportunity to monitor the progressive stages of the slide during a period extending over seven days. -from Authors | |
