On the modal behavior of rectangular and deformed planar waveguides

Abstract

A similarity has been observed between planar guides with small circular deformations and rectangular waveguides. The results obtained for deformed planar guides have been compared with those reported earlier by J. E. Goell for rectangular waveguides. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
