This paper presents a succinct report on TiO2/CH3NH3PbI3 heterojunction-based device fabricated on an indium tin oxide (ITO) substrate. The sol-gel method was used to synthesize the perovskite CH3NH3PbI3 and TiO2 nanoparticles. The tetragonal crystal phase of CH3NH3PbI3 and the rutile phase of TiO2 were confirmed by the XRD characterization. When excited with a 403 nm wavelength, an efficient photoluminescence peak was seen at ~775 nm in pristine CH3NH3PbI3 and TiO2/CH3NH3PbI3 thin films at room temperature. Lastly, the electrical and optical response of the TiO2/CH3NH3PbI3-based heterojunction device was examined. © 2023 IEEE.
