L2C2 Network-Based Non-Isolated Multi-Output Hybrid Converter with Reduced Leakage Current
Abstract
This paper proposes a non-isolated L2C2 network-based multi-output hybrid converter (L2C2-HC) capable of supplying AC and DC outputs from a photovoltaic (PV) source. A parasitic capacitance (CPV) is formed between a large conductive PV panel and the ground, resulting in a strong leakage current as high-frequency PWM switching voltage appears across CPV, which causes power loss and safety issues for non-isolated hybrid converters. The proposed L2C2-HC, along with a PWM scheme, is capable of reducing the leakage current significantly. Moreover, it provides shoot-through protection against electromagnetic interference and boosts output voltage from PV sources. A 270 W laboratory prototype is developed and tested using an F28335 digital signal processor to validate the proposed L2C2-HC. © 2022 IEEE.
