On the potential energy in a gravitationally bound two-body system

dc.description.abstractThe potential energy problem in a gravitationally bound two-body system is studied in the framework of a recently proposed impact model of gravity (Wilhelm et al., 2013). The concept of a closed system has been modified, before the physical processes resulting in the liberation of the potential energy can be described. The energy is extracted from the background flux of hypothetical interaction entities. © 2014 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
