| dc.description.abstract | In this paper, a ultra wideband polarization insensitive absorber based on resistive rising sun-shaped metasurface is presented. The proposed structure exhibits more than 90% absorption bandwidth from 8.29 GHz to 15.67 GHz. A Unique combination of circular sector and resistance provides high absorption bandwidth over ultra wideband spectrum. In addition, four fold symmetry of structure enables polarization insensitivity under normal incidence and slots between two consecutive rising arms of resonators keep the angle insensitive performance for TE and TM polarization upto 50° for more than 90 % absorption bandwidth. Moreover, the surface current distribution reveals the physical mechanism of mutual electromagnetic couplings. © 2019 IEEE. | |
