| dc.description.abstract | The paper introduces a new, simple and direct method of determining the minimum capacitance required for self-excitation of the three phase self excited cage machine. The proposed method is based on the analysis of the complex impedance matrix of the induction generator, when loaded with a general resistive-inductive load (RL). A simple computer algorithm has been developed to predict the minimum value of capacitance necessary for self-excitation. © 2013 IEEE. | |
