| dc.description.abstract | Metal-air batteries (MABs) have emerged as a promising solution for high-energy density storage in applications such as electric vehicles and smart grids. However, several challenges hinder the successful implementation of MABs in the market. This chapter focuses on addressing these challenges and enhancing the performance of MABs through innovative material selection, design, and manufacturing techniques. To overcome this, researchers are investigating nonmetallic (heteroatom)-doped carbon materials and TMDs-based nanocomposites as electrocatalysts for air cathode in MABs. © 2024 World Scientific Publishing Company. | |
