Synthesis of 3-alkylimino-5-p-methoxyphenylimino-1,2,4-dithiazolidines and their antifungal activity

Abstract

5-Alkyl-1-p-methoxyphenyl-2-S-benzyliso-4-thiobiurets, IIIa-d on oxidative debenzylation and cyclization with bromine in moistened chloroform gave 3-alkylimino-5-p-methoxyphenylimino-1,2,4-dithiazolidines, IVa-d. The synthesized compounds have been evaluated as antifungal agents.
