| dc.description.abstract | A coupled fed PIFA (planar inverted-F Antenna) compact for GPS L1/L2, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS, IMT 2100, WLAN, and LTE 2500 frequency bands is proposed for mobile phone applications. The proposed PIFA consist of L-shaped radiating strip which is shorted to the ground plane of the mobile phone through a long inductive shorting strip and a coupled feed. The inductive shorting strip contributes additional inductance to enhance the impedance matching for lower band and also provides wide impedance bandwidth to cover the aforesaid bands for mobile communication. The antenna performances are evaluated by the study of S-parameters, gain, efficiency, and radiation patterns in detail. © 2014 IAMOT. | |
