| dc.description.abstract | In this paper, a planar metasurface-based bandpass spatial filter has been proposed for C-band and Ku-band applications. The unit cell of the proposed metasurface is consisting of four slots bearing two combinations of geometrical patterns etched from the top copper surface mounted on the FR4 substrate. The geometrical dimensions of the slotted patterns have been varied to study their impact on the reflection and transmission characteristics. The structure provides insertion losses of less than 0.5 dB at both the operating bands at 4.79 GHz (C-band) and 15.17 GHz (Ku-band), respectively. The proposed metasurface-based filter can be useful for weather forecasting, earth exploration services, airport surface detection equipment (ASDE) systems, etc. © 2022 IEEE. | |
