Effect of flame speed and compression ratio on performance and emission characteristics of lean burn S I engine
Abstract
The main objective of this article is to find the conditions to run the engine with lean mixture. The compression ratio and turbulence are the principal design variables available to the engineer attempting to optimize the fuel economy of current automobile engines. This article describes the theoretical formulation of the Computer Simulation Program for S I engine, which predicts the performance and emission characteristics of a lean burn engine.
