Abstract
Octonion valued neural networks (OVNNs) does not fall into the category of Clifford valued neural networks because of the non-associativity of OVNNs. The present article contains the study of fixed time synchronization of OVNNs with time varying delays. Fixed time synchronization is an extension of the finite time synchronization. In fixed time synchronization, the trajectories of the error system reaches the origin in finite time independent of the initial conditions. In this article, OVNNs are decomposed into eight real valued systems of equations. Using some lemmas and Lyapunov function, several sufficient criteria have been derived for the fixed time synchronization. Moreover, a suitable novel non-linear controller is created to keep the drive–response system in synchronization state. Finally, a numerical example is performed to demonstrate and validate the theoretical findings. © 2022 Elsevier Ltd
