dc.description.abstractTetraethylammonium superoxide, obtained in situ by the phase transfer reaction of potassium superoxide and tetraethylammonium bromide, accomplishes an easy and efficient oxidative aromatization of Hantzsch 1,4-dihydropyridines to their corresponding pyridines under mild reaction conditions, at room temperature.
