Modulation of magnetoplasma due to magnetic perturbations
Abstract
The propagation of low frequency and Low amplitude magnetic perturbation in magnetoplasma has been considered. The collisionless Boltzmann transport equation has been solved for the first- and second-order perturbations. The second-order perturbation is found to grow with time and results in density modulation of the ambient magnetoplasma. The geophysical implications of density modulation have been discussed. © 1970, Taylor & Fancis Group, LLC.
