| dc.description.abstract | A single-sided linear induction motor (SLIM) may have double clearance under certain practical conditions. In order to evaluate the effects of double air-gaps five-layer Fourier transform model of SLIM has been developed and its performance has been predicted in Fourier-space using Parseval's theorem. The validation of developed model has been done using FEM code 'ANSYS 5.0' and experimental results.
