| dc.description.abstract | The beam-steering characteristic of a 1 × 4 linear Gunn-integrated active antenna array is investigated by varying the bias voltages of the different elements in the array while keeping the side-lobe level 10-dB below the main beam level. By varying the bias voltage of all four elements simultaneously, the optimization of beam steering exhibited a beam scanning of 40° with 1.85-dB power deviation in the main beam, which is better than the previously reported data. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. | |
