| dc.description.abstract | This paper reports on the transition of crystalline to amorphous structure with increasing W content in electrodeposited binary Co-W alloys. The glass forming ability of the electrodeposited Co-based alloys, including Co-W alloy, is analyzed using deep eutectic criteria based on reduced liquidus temperature and relative composition ratio. MD simulations based on solid solution models indicated glass forming ability above 20 at. W for Co-rich Co-W alloys, which is in good agreement with the experimental observations. © 2012 American Institute of Physics. | |
