An automated system is developed to simulate the actual handwriting of a person from a sample handwritten text of that person. The system has been developed for Bengali and Hindi scripts, and based on similar ideas, it can be easily extended for other languages. The preliminary input to the system is a scanned document of a text in the handwriting of the user. The user then has to extract the characters into individual image files to create the character database. The system uses this database of characters to recreate the handwriting of the user. When the user then enters text from keyboard of the specific language, this serves as the input to our system. It maps the input characters to the ones stored in the database and using several optimization techniques recreates the same text in the handwriting of the user. COPYRIGHT © ENFORMATIKA.
