dc.description.abstractTetraethylammonium superoxide, generated in situ by the phase transfer reaction of potassium superoxide and tetraethylammonium bromide, brings about an easy oxidation of a variety of benzylic methyl and methylene compounds under significantly mild reaction conditions, at room temperature.
