| dc.description.abstract | Multilevel inverter technologies have emerged in recent years as a very significant alternative in the area of medium and high voltage applications. For controlling the cascaded H-Bridge MLI with only one DC source (known as hybrid cascaded MLI (HC-MLI), many hardware modifications and control techniques are proposed. Predictive control (PC) is one of the best non-linear control techniques which is popularized in the area of power electronics recently. In this paper, a modified MPC technique is proposed to control the output current and balancing of capacitor voltage in HC-MLI. Normalization methods and weighting factors are used to give better results in this work. © 2020 IEEE. | |
