Abstract

A new cathode material Pr0.6Ba1.4Co2O6-δ was synthesized by using a conventional solid-state route method using the same conditions as PrBaCo2O6-δ. The XRD analysis shows that the sample is in the orthorhombic phase with Pmmm symmetry having the additional phase of hexagonal BaCoO3. The microstructure reveals that sample is porous as requisite of the cathode material. IV curve is showing the current is increasing with temperature in both samples although it appears after 100 ᵒC in Pr0.6Ba1.4Co2O6-δ. The Grain size and porosity have an impact on the resistivity of the samples as it is higher in the case of Pr0.6Ba1.4Co2O6-δ, which has a larger grain size than PrBaCo2O6-δ. © 2020 Author(s).
