Three phase quasi Z source inverters with multiple AC outputs

dc.description.abstractIn this paper, two multiple ac outputs quasi Z source inverters (q-ZSIs) are proposed. The proposed inverter topologies are able to give n-number of simultaneous ac outputs. The proposed topologies are developed from the quasi Z source network by replacing the inverter network with n-number of parallel connected or n-number of series connected three phase inverters. The inverter developed with n-parallel connected three- phase inverters gives a parallel mode of the multi ac three phase q-ZSI. It is able to supply n-number of ac outputs with the same voltage and variable current. Further, the inverter developed with n-series connected three-phase inverters gives a series mode of the multi ac three-phase q-ZSI which is capable of supplying n-number of ac outputs with same current and variable voltages. The proposed inverters have inherent shoot through protection unlike the conventional voltage source derived multi-output converters. The proposed inverter topologies can be applied for simultaneous dc/ac power conversion for distributed voltage generation and are capable to directly meet out more than one different ac load demands without any extra regulator or adaptor. Steady-state and dynamic modeling has been carried out for analyzing the performance of the proposed inverters. Experimental results are presented to verify the performance of the proposed three-phase multi ac q-ZSIs. © 2019 IEEE.
