Abstract

In this study a novel two single-phase extended boost switched-inductor based modified quasi-Z- source inverter (qZSI) is presented. The classical Z-source inverter (ZSI)/qZSI boost factor is low in order to meet high voltage requirement. In the conventional topologies the inductor of the qZSI is replace with simple switched inductor to achieved further higher boost factor. The proposed inverters are improved variant of switched-inductor-qZSI in which switched inductor are replaced with inductor- capacitor arrangement. The proposed qZSIs retained the property of continuous input current property as well as common ground of input and output terminal. Detailed steady-state analysis of proposed qZSIs are presented. Both proposed inverters operations are validated through simulation. The experimental verifications of the proposed qZSI is validated using TMS320F28335 DSP experimental kit. © 2020 IEEE.
