Effect of diluents and disintegrants on the dissolution rate of directly compressed frusemide tablets

Abstract

The effect of various tablet additives (diluents and disintegrants) on the dissolution rate of directly compressed frusemide tablets was studied in comparison to marketed tablets. It was found that drug release from frusemide tablets is considerably affected by the process of manufacture and the physico-chemical properties of tablet additives.
