| dc.description.abstract | The papers published in this Special Issue show that researchers are looking at novel solutions for electric and more electric transportation. The proposals have been conducted for EV, battery chargers, battery swapping station, fuel cell vehicles and railway transportations. Moreover, converter topologies, which have been proposed for medium voltage high power and low voltage medium power applications are slowly being implemented and tested for electric transportation sector. In addition, the papers also demonstrated that the academia is also investing time in real-time simulation using hardware-in-the-loop systems which greatly enhances the validation zone of every research conducted. © 2019 Institution of Engineering and Technology.
