| dc.description.abstract | The dynamic behavior of liquid storage tanks under seismic excitation has been the subject of numerous theoretical and experimental investigations. This paper deals with pressure based finite element analysis of the fluid-structure systems considering the coupled effect of elastic structure and fluid. The Equation of motion of the fluid considered as incompressible and inviscid. The dynamic pressure variation along the tank wall has been developed by Finite Element method. Slosh height variation in the free surface and mode safe of the free surface has been investigated for horizontal sinusoidal base excitation. | |
