Cylindrically symmetric scalar waves in general relativity

Abstract

An exact cylindrically symmetric solution to Einstein equations for scalar waves is presented. The asymptotic behaviour of the null geodesics near the singularity is discussed. © 1996 Società Italiana di Fisica.
