Abstract

We present here the structural and optical studies of Pb(MoxTi1-x)O3 (x = 0.00, 0.03, 0.05,0.10) ceramics using powder X-Ray diffraction data and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The samples were synthesized by solid state ceramic route. Rietveld refinement of structure for all the compositions reveal tetragonal phase with space group P4mm. UV-Vis spectroscopy reveals low band gap of the material falling in visible range suitable for electron transfer under optical illumination. Band gap of the material decreases significantly with increase of Mo doping concentration. © 2018 Author(s).
