Creep bending of rock plates

Abstract

Creep bending of a rock plate under constant loading, has been analysed. Non-equal elastic and viscosity constants under compressive and tensile loading of rock material have been incorporated in the Burger's Model. Results are presented in terms of non-dimensionalised parameters, whose influence has been studied over a wide range. The influence of some of these parameters, appears dominating and interesting. © 1987.
