| dc.description.abstract | Detailed magnetic study of geometrically frustrated hybrid magnets of pyrochlore Dy2-x ErxTi2O7 (x=0.0 and 0.2) have been done. The prepared polycrystalline samples are confirmed to be of single phase having the structural symmetry of F d -3m. The temperature dependent dc magnetization study revealed the rise of anti-ferromagnetic interactions in the spin ice ferromagnetic Dy2Ti2O7 system. Further analysis yielded the dipolar interactions and the effective magnetic moment of the system get diminished with the Er doping. Furthermore, spin dynamics study by ac susceptibility measurements suggested a faster spin relaxation occurring in the Er doped system while the single ion freezing transition of the spin ice Dy2Ti2O7 gets suppressed. © 2019 Author(s). | |
